hi, I’m kathryn!

From the time I was a little girl, I loved using a camera. I would record videos with my friends on my flip camera, create youtube videos with imovie, and was consistently drawn to the art of filmmaking.

at 18 I left my hometown of Lubbock, TX to pursue my cinema-television degree at regent university in virginia. since then, I’ve dabbled in television news, social media marketing and portrait photography. they were all exciting, sure, but none truly felt like my calling. that is, until i filmed my first wedding video.

When I finished editing my first wedding video, it hit me. This is it. This is what I’m meant to do.

over these past few years, i’ve decided to share more on social media as well, with videos ranging from day in my life vlogs to discussions of ancient literature. All the while, dreaming of how I could incorporate my personal interests with a wedding videography business.

And so, this year I decided Kathryn V Creative would be my personal brand and how I would present my work and passions to the world.

I don’t just want to be a wedding videographer or youtuber, but someone who’s art embodies a sense of magic and wonder, no matter the medium.
